Professional Development Hours/Continuing Education Units

You may be able to earn up to 12 Professional Development Hours (PDH) if you attend the entire Virginia Engineers Conference or 6 PDHs for a one-day registration. In Virginia, one continuing education unit equals 50 minutes of instructional contact time.   Please review the continuing education requirements for your state license so that you can attend the sessions that will have a better chance of being accepted by the licensing authority. Virginia does not pre-approve seminars OR providers.   Please be aware that individual State Boards of Engineering Licensure have final authority with respect to approval of continuing education/Professional Development Hours (PDHs). A separate "certificate" is not given out to each attendee.  After you attend the conference, your registration record is updated to reflect your attendance.  Your status will change from "confirmed" to "attended".  You will receive after the conference an email that will include a link to your registration record showing that you "attended".  Please use this document as verification of the number of professional development hours you earned.  It will be your "PDH Certificate".
