Scott was the Construction Area Manager for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command from 1986 to 2002. In that position he was responsible for managing multi-million dollar engineering and construction projects worldwide. In 2003, Scott joined JES to serve as the firm’s Vice President and to head up the growing company’s engineering operations.   As Vice President of JES, Scott develops engineered system designs, supervises the team of Certified Inspectors in identifying problems, reviews all project solutions and provides final PE sign-off where required. He also is asked many times to educate other engineers, architects, home inspectors, property managers and real estate agents how to recognize the symptoms of foundation failure and the options available for repairing the problems. Scott is featured several times a month with company founder Jesse Waltz on the WNIS “Ask The Experts” show and has been a guest on the WRVA Richard McKann Home Improvement Show.  Scott has personally been involved with finding cost efficient and permanent solutions for over 10,000 commercial and resident structural, foundation, crawlspace and basement waterproofing repairs.
