Learning Outcome: This session will
present current complex matters facing the design professional, owners,
and design builders. The
topics will range from the future of alternative delivery in Virginia,
risk allocation, procurement trends, and design builder controlled quality
control / quality assurance. This
moderated session will present the perspective of the panel experts and
allow time for questions. Speakers & Resumes: Jeff Roby, P.E., is the Acting Assistant Division Administrator in the Innovative Project Delivery Division for the Virginia Department of Transportation where he is responsible for developing and managing contracts related to the Design-Build Program. Jeff received his undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a licensed professional engineer registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mr. Roby joined the Department of Transportation in 2006 bringing over 20 years of experience in the design, analysis, and inspection of highway bridge structures. Richard
